About the Role
We're currently looking for highly motivated individuals to commence their Engineering Apprenticeships. We have several apprenticeships available in Fabrication as well as Mechanical Fitting. The roles are based across Melbourne area.
What are the Responsibilities?
For Engineering - mechanical (machining) apprenticeships:
• Machine setting
• Machining operations
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Use computer controlled machines/processes
• Reading and Interpreting drawing and measuring finished products
• Sourcing materials
For Engineering - fabrication apprenticeships:
• Reading drawings
• Marking out
• Steel cutting
• Welding
• Folding
• Grinding
• General house keeping
To be successful, you’ll need:
• Effective communication skills
• Proven reliability
• Mechanically minded
• Keen to learn
• Work autonomously or within a team
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Have an ability to undertake physical work
• Certificate II Engineering essential
• Car & licence desirable
These are 4 year apprenticeships, full time roles with super, annual leave etc. You will have on the job training and off the job training (TAFE) components.
