My client is an industry leading Residential home builder based in Tullamarine. They are looking to support their project team with an experienced Permit Coordinator.
They are dedicated to developing passionate people and providing strong career paths to ensure the future growth and success of the company.  

This is a varied role working in a busy but friendly team, day-to-day your tasks include:

  • Assisting with land compliance assessments;
  • Evaluating land contracts and regulatory information;
  • Generating reports based on findings and making all necessary recommendations;
  • Liaising with external service providers and internal departments;
  • Preparation of permit documentation for the building process.
  • Providing assistance and answering queries from regulatory authorities in relation to applications that are lodged for approval.
  • Accurate data entry and record keeping of all activities undertaken

  • Building up to 1000 Homes  per year.
  • Help deliver a range of production homes, custom homes, unit developments across Melbourne.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated experience creating and submitting building permit applications within the Residential Home Sector.
  • Liaised with private certifiers to gain building approvals.
  • Applied for developer/covenant approvals
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of building permits and contracts in the residential sector.
  • Effectively liaised with Councils in the past and know the process in getting approvals through.
  • Strong administrative skills;
  • Outstanding organisational and time management capabilities; and
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Be passionate, enthusiastic and be a team player willing to "roll their sleeves" up!
  
To be suited to this role, you will have worked within a residential construction company in a similar position, and you should have strong knowledge of permits, building regulations and excellent communication skills.
