Our Boral Cement team is looking for an enthusiastic Production Operator (Level 3) to join the packaging plant team based in Maldon NSW. Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will responsible for undertaking work involving basic inspection, monitoring and analysis, fault finding and reporting.
About the position:
● Ability to undertake Shift work
● High proportion of Forklift driving
● Operation of packaging and palletising equipment
● Assist production team in investigation, fault finding by analysing plant processes.
● Reading gauges, graphs, online analysers, computer screens, meters and other instrumentation on plant equipment.
● Undertake work associated with the operation of less complex fixed plant and equipment.
● Ensures the safe shutdown, isolation and set up of relevant sections of the plant during emergency situations & for maintenance activities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
● A genuine commitment to workplace safety
● Relevant experience in industrial manufacturing in fixed plant and equipment.
● Forklift licence required
● Inspection and fault finding skills
● Attention to detail
● Basic mechanical ability
● Commitment to continuous improvement in production processes
● Willingness to undertake training in production processes relevant to the role
This position is a full-time vacancy on a 12-month contract.
