A privately-owned Sydney based residential contractor has an immediate requirement for a Site Engineer to join its business on a landmark construction project.

 
Reporting to the Project Manager, your duties will include but not limited be;
  
Liaising with architects and engineers to ensure project requirements are met
Ensuring project design meets current code and job requirements
Review all consultants’ drawings and specifications
RFI’s 
Document Control and administration
Overseeing key stages of the project ; M&E Services, Post Tension, Window Installations, Interiors etc
Provide a detailed procurement program to all consultants and monitor to meet deadlines.
Provide feedback and recommendations to relevant stakeholders on specific actions, developments and progress of contractors
Review subcontractor SWMS prior to work commencing on site.
Review plant and equipment schedule, verification of plant, ensure programmed times.
Monitoring of financials against cost commitments throughout project life cycle
Assist the Project Manager in managing the interface between the Project Construction and Commercial functions and activities.
Working for this top construction contractor, suitable candidates will possess the following;
  
Degree qualified in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Ideally 6+ years' post grad experience within a similar building environment
Experience working on high-rise residential projects in excess of $40M in value
Knowledge of Sydney construction market and subcontractors and consultants
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Experience working for either Top or Second Tier construction companies in Australia
Experience working on large, multi-million-dollar commercial and apartment building projects in a site-based capacity
