About the business and the role
Smith's Windows and Doors is a growing business and has the next 12 months overflowing with work.
Smith's Windows and Doors is looking for a Windows installer/ supervisor who is able to join our friendly team in a leadership role. This position will require the successful candidate to be able to manage a team of installers on large projects across Melbourne as well as work independently or in a two man crew on smaller projects.
The position will require you to collaborate with Managers and Builders to insure the best outcome for the project.
You will be required to have your own vehicle/current drivers license and tools.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Installation of commercial and domestic windows and doors.
- Installation of glass and blocking wedge.
- Communicating with builders, managers, customers
- Site measure projects
- Organize supplies
- Delegate work to installers
- Supervise and update management of projects progress
- Off load trucks on site
- Be able to teach the less experienced workers
Skills and experience
- Carpentry/ joinery qualification an advantage but not a must.
- Installation of commercial windows and doors
- Use of levels, datums.
- Plan reading
- Problem solving skills
