About the Position:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Estimator for a Auckland based project. This position will be a permanent, full time role in duration with an Immediate Start.
Reporting to the Bid Manager, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and tenders associated with project opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Commercial and Risk Management - Analyse Job/ Project profitability and analyse unit costs
- Assist in the operational review of scope of work and prepare operational input data
- Develop tender price in accordance with required processes.
- Assist with midterm bid review on all elements of submission.
- Assist with final tender review and post submittal clarification
- Provide input into improving policies and systems for the estimating of tenders and proposals.
- Ensure Company risk & opportunity processes are completed in a fully compliant manner
- Ensure risk exposure to Company Terms & Conditions is minimised at all times.
- Maintain environmental compliance and promote sustainability
- Build and maintain collaborative business relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure reporting requirements including progress reports are adhered too and regular, consistent and timely reporting is administered as required
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Advise Manager of any negative Client relationship reputational issues.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven knowledge of estimating including identifying cost options and preparing tenders and proposals
- Proven commercial & risk, planning, project controls and contractual management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- High level computer literacy skills in relevant field
It is essential that you have a clear criminal history and understand that you will be required to go through a full criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.
