Our client is a highly respected multi national civil and ground engineering contractor with an exemplary track record on delivering an array of complex and challenging engineering projects within the civil infrastructure, marine and build sectors. 

Due to company growth and internal restructuring they are seeking an experienced (10yrs+) Sydney based Commercial / Contracts Manager to join their existing senior management team reporting directly into the Area Manager. In this lead role you and your team will be responsible for all aspects of both commercial and contracts for 3-4 business units in both Australia and New Zealand, so some travel will be expected from time to time.

Apart from qualification and previous industry experience you will also bring with you strong communication and negotiating skills which is a requirement whilst dealing with third parties including stakeholders and sub-contractors.

In this role you will be liaising with various levels of staff within the commercial and delivery departments, upto to Directors and senior legal advisors when required.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Degree Educated In Civil Engineering / Construction Management /Quantity Surveying or similar 
• Minimum 10 yrs Commercial / Contracts Management Experience 
• Previous Experience Of Contract Law 
• Experience on $30m+ Civil Engineering Projects
• Extensive Contractual Experience
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Tier 1 Civil Contracting Experience Advantageous
• Australian Experience Essential
