The Role:
 
An exciting opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team in the role of Project Supervisor.

The main focus of this diverse role will be to engage, coordinate and manage trades during the remediation process for buildings damaged by insurable events. You will be responsible for providing bringing these customers homes back to life so a high level of customer service is essential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare scope, quotations and reporting
• Manage job scheduling from start to completion of projects in an efficient and cost effective manner
• Prepare and manage subcontractor scope and quality of works
• Manage and lead staff to achieve quality works within a timely manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all parties are kept well informed
• Work with other team members and business units to achieve targets and budgets
• Travel across multiple locations in the Melbourne metro region
• Assist in in prompt and effective complaint resolution in line with business policies
• Monthly reporting on business and financial forecasts

Key Selection Criteria

• Previous experience supervising construction projects is ideal
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Carpentry or building trade background and/or experience in the insurance industry is highly regarded, however not essential
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and working environments
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite
• Current and valid motor vehicle licence
