NewCold are a global integrated service provider in temperature controlled logistics and food supply chain. We are currently located at multiple highly automated facilities to the west of Melbourne and preparing for ongoing growth within Australasia.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the OH&S Manager will work across multiple sites with the primary purpose of this role to implement all safety policies, protocols and procedures within a highly regulated environment and busy logistics site.
Your proven experience in being hands on, identifying OH&S efficiency and compliance opportunities and working collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders will hold you in high regard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating OH&S practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to compliance
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Proven experience in dealing with Worksafe legislation and representatives
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Return to Work Coordinator - proven experience
- Training in OH&S and compliance implementation and delivery
- Coach and influence Managers on their responsibilities in relation to OHS
- Conduct workplace audits and risk assessments/solutions
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven min 5 yrs experience as a Safety Manager within a logistics site that includes manufacturing and transport compliance
- Valid qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Back ground in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma highly advantageous
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
