Our medium sized mechanical contracting organisation with offices in Sydney and Brisbane is currently seeking to appoint an estimator for our Sydney based operations.

Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the HVAC estimating at the Sydney office are carried out satisfactorily.

This role will suit you if you have a contracting or engineering background, and possibly worked your way into estimating from beginning on the tools, or wish to take that next step in career development. 

Main duties of the role are:
• Estimate costings for projects i.e labour, materials and subcontract.
• Assist in planning and scheduling of projects.
• Complete tenders and proposals for lump sum / long term contracts.
• Ensure compliance and meet the client's expectations.
• Build / develop lasting relationship with internal and external parties.

Individual requirements for the role:
• Experience in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Outstanding time management skills / ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop lasting relationships.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, honest, hardworking and reliable.

We are looking for someone with leadership, communication and people skills and able to motivate others in the estimating team.
