Valmont has a vacancy in our Melbourne office for a Project Co-ordinator.

We're offering a great opportunity for the right professional to join us and be an integral part of a wide and challenging range of projects. You'll need to demonstrate experience in contract analysis and negotiation, budget preparation and accounts management in the Commercial Fitout sector. Experience in the job costing program Cheops would be desirable but not essential.

 

You'll have at least a Degree in Construction Management or similar with a minimum of 3-5 years' relevant commercial experience, garnering a broad range of skills across the typical range of project stages.  In addition to your technical capabilities, it's important that you can apply a proactive, forward-thinking approach to the role, and have a highly-developed set of communication skills coupled with excellent personal presentation.  This is required because you will be the face of Valmont with the client. 

 

Tasks will include;

- Involvement at pitch stage to ensure all aspects of construction are considered and budgeted for

- Running PCG meetings, preparing minutes and ensuring Actions items are completed

- Problem solving with Designers

- Managing the resources of Site Staff to ensure coverage of projects

- Liaising with and managing the expectations of clients

- Accounting for profit margins on all jobs

- Working closely with the Contract Administrator to ensure timely ordering and sequencing of trades, material etc
