Immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator with 2+ years’ experience to join a tier 1 mechanical contractor as part of their growing projects division. Working closely with the Construction Manager you will be responsible for designing and estimating Design and Construct Mechanical projects ranging in value, size and complexity. This role has the potential to take on a project management capabilities with a hands on opportunity.
This role will see you liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors, internal and external clients providing design options, estimating your own designs accordingly and achieving all delivery targets. This opportunity will provide you the experience working with an industry leading tier 1 mechanical contractor, gain exposure to the design and construction process of medium to large construction projects and work in a supportive team.
The role:
- Assist junior Estimators in the design preparation of D+C projects
- Provide conceptual design for array of project briefs, value ranging from $2k - $1mil.
- Liaise and coordinate with various resources, offering technical sound design options to ensure the clients requirements are met and exceeded.
- Show the ability to co‐ordinate & deliver high value tenders in our target markets. This will involve preparing & co‐ordinating resources & materials
- Ensure a clear line of communication between both our internal and external clients and our junior estimators
You will possess:
- Mechanical Territory qualification or relevant HVAC qualification with extensive estimating experience
- Signification experience in designing and estimating in HVAC contractor market
- Proven experience winning tenders through own design and estimating
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines
