We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join our John Holland-KBR team, working on Melbourne Water. Over the past three years, the John Holland-KBR team has delivered, or is in the process of delivering, 45 infrastructure projects with a combined value of more than $200m.
Operating across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, John Holland is a fully integrated infrastructure, building and rail group. We offer our customers a total service solution, participating in every link of the project lifecycle from origination, financing and development, to design and construction, operations and maintenance.
Based in Abbotsford, the primary purpose of this role is to support and monitor the implementation of project environment programs to ensure adherence with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, contractual obligations and John Holland Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Responsibilities of the role will include;
- Provide environmental guidance, diligence and consistency to internal stakeholders as well as advice and input into the identification and effective management of environmental risks.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of project environmental management systems.
- Support the maintenance of comprehensive environmental records.
- Identify and initiate localised environment improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with government bodies and professional organisations on environmental matters as required.
- Support project induction and environmental management systems/tools training.
- Support the communication process to keep management informed of any relevant changes to legal, regulatory and project environmental requirements.
- Undertake internal audits to determine compliance against Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality system plans.
To be successful in this key role, you will have;
- Bachelor Degrees in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines
- Certificate IV in Environment
- Internal Auditing
- Construction environment management experience (1+ years)
