There is currently an opportunity for a Project Director with significant civil infrastructure experience to join Lendlease as part of the Queensland Engineering business. Based in Brisbane, you will initially be based in head office working on the larger bids and tenders before moving in to an onsite delivery role.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience leading significant project delivery teams on large inner-city infrastructure projects. You will have prior knowledge and experience in managing and overseeing major projects, monitoring the site activities, work and outputs of contractors and site staff as wells as driving the development of engineering solutions in response to client requirements to ensure the delivery of your project within the agreed timeframes and budgetary parameters.

This is fundamentally a leadership role and as such you will provide leadership in the creation of skills and wellbeing for senior project staff identifying talent and ensuring appropriate development programs are in place. You will lead from the front managing the project delivery within a timely manner that ensures the maximum outcomes for the client and for Lendlease. You will drive the Safety Culture on site, recognising, rewarding and celebrating safe behaviours and practices. You will build and maintain external relationships (e.g. clients, contractors/subcontracts) to increase networks and manage the performance and development of the project team through coaching, mentoring and building required skill sets to ensure that your staff are adequately resourced to perform.

To be a success in this role will require a specific individual with advanced subject matter knowledge across multiple functions combined with expert people management skills. You will have superior commercial acumen and analytical skills for managing inputs and outputs, as well as problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and programs. You will have outstanding communication skills to persuade, facilitate decision making, manage expectations, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders externally and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation internally.
