My client are a civil construction contractor with a great name in the Australian Market Place and work on some exciting civils, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer a full time opportunity exists for an experienced Leading Hand to join the team in the Metropolitan Melbourne (mostly north and west) area on utilities infrastructure.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

• Working to ensure crew is working safely and effectively
• Taking a hands-on / lead by example approach to working with the crew
• Ensuring plant is appropriately maintained
• Ensuring crew members are following all Company procedures and policies
• Assisting with the tracking of expenses

To be successful, you must:

• At least 4 years civil experience- ideally water/pipelines/utilities
• Be an experienced grader operator with current tickets
• Have a construction induction card (Red/White Card)
• Have a strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
• Traffic management tickets
• Be keen to start a new role ASAP & work overtime during peak periods (within reason)
