Our company specialises in quarry operations, natural resources and transport and logistics with operations nationally throughout Australia. With our establishment known for over 50 years we are going through a phase of change where a Site Manager is required to come on board and be responsible for the efficient production and operations of our south-eastern Quarry operation.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, we are looking to appoint an experienced Site or Quarry Manager to focus on the profitable operation whilst ensuring uncompromising safety and quality. You will have a genuine interest in the day to day management and challenges of running a hard rock operation, including the responsibility for all production targets, quality control, customer liaison and LEAN implementation processes.
Your responsibilities:
- Liaison with client representatives and senior management in regards to site production, safety and maintenance
- Working in collaboration with the rest of the team
- Conduct internal training when required
- Overlooking operation of Mobile equipment and driving the efficient availability and utilisation of people, assets and equipment
To be considered for this role you will require:
- Proven 3-5 years previous experience within a Quarry / Mining management role
- Ability to demonstrate comprehensive interpersonal and industrial relations skills alongside being familiar with all current health, safety and environmental legislation
- Ability to lead and further develop constructive relationships with all stakeholders
- Strong management evidence of Projects, Quarry Development / Ground Control and Customer relationships
- Proficient computer literacy skills
- Have demonstrated strong problem solving skills and excellent communication skills
