RTW Steel Fabrication & Construction is a premier steel manufacturing, construction and
maintenance business located in Capel in the South West of Western Australia.

Specializing in steel fabrication for mining, industrial and commercial projects, we also provide a comprehensive service in onsite maintenance, steel erection, mechanical fitting repairs and onsite installation.

We are currently seeking to employ an enthusiastic, motivated and Team orientated Site Manager to join RTW in the beautiful South West Region. The purpose of the salary position will be to lead and drive our site activities while catering for and servicing the most critical needs of our clients.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide on-going direction, mentoring, training and support to the Team
• Lead the Team in the organisation, planning preparation and execution of our site jobs and projects.
• Implement and maintain cost effective work procedures and systems to achieve optimum performance levels from our Team
• Coordinating with the Client on all changes in the scope, answer queries/provide clarification regarding the work, ensuring any changes are documented
• Drive operational improvement activities associated with the planning and performance.
• Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work required and the client’s expectation for the Project, both in time and cost.
• Establish priorities, allocate resources and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost effective completion of all projects to the highest standards.
• Making decisions that are financially responsible, appropriate timely and justifiable
• Ensuring that all contract issues, time constraints, safety, special construction methods are addressed prior and during the Project.

Key Requirements and Experience

• Proven experience in mining service provider industry
• Proven history of strong leadership skills with the ability to enhance/manage the performance and output of our Team
• Ability to think analytically and strategically to plan ahead for possible future events  
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental management systems with the ability to strengthen our safety culture.
• To be competent and have sound knowledge and understanding of computers
• Driven performer with a high focus on continual improvement
• To be able to communicate clearly with both Clients and Team members
