Our client is one of the largest Government Departments in Victoria. They have built an exceptional reputation over the years, achieving success by delivering multiple Capital Works Projects range from $5M to $30M. They have now been given a new $3B budget for the next 3 years and are in the need to bring senior project managers to work directly on new built projects across Victoria.
Reporting to Manager of Major Projects, you'll be charged with managing a range of Victorian projects up to $22M plus. The ideal candidate has previously worked across a range of projects including schools, multi-res and high-rise and will be able to manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the development and delivery of maintenance projects to agreed timelines, budgets and standards.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of major building projects by oversee the planning, design and construction process.
- Conduct consultation with various stakeholders, develop a project scope and concept plans for client and user group sign-off as required
- Co-ordinate and project manage the design phase and development of detailed design and tender documentation.
- Contract manage the construction of buildings and building related capital works projects, monitor OH&S on building sites and facilitate the handover process of completed projects
- Monitor project budgets and prepare financial reports as required on project progress
Skills:
- 3-5 years'+ experience as a project manager working within Architectural firm or builder
- A genuine motivation to seek out a long-term career role
- Exceptional stakeholding management and ability to manage multiple projects
- An ability to work autonomously
