IPA have a number of positions available for Experienced Construction Labourers for our client’s current shutdown.
These roles will be labour hire positions with IPA for the duration of the project which is expected to be between 4-6 weeks.
During that time the days are Monday - Saturday, 12 hour days, dayshift and nightshift.
The successful applicants will work Permanent Dayshift or Permanent Nightshift throughout the project, Not rotating between days and nights.
The rates on offer, allowances and more information on what is involved in the project will be explained in depth at the interview stages.
The positions will involve both working at heights and in confined spaces and will be quite manual.
The roles would suit people with manual labouring experience and who are mechanically minded.
Requirements:
- Previous construction labouring experience
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights Ticket (Must have been completed within the last 2 years)
- Confined Spaces Ticket (Must have been completed within the last 2 years)
- Ability to meet demands of manual handling within the position
Applicants who have one or more of the below tickets with demonstrated experience will be highly regarded:
- Forklift Licence (LF)
- Rigging Ticket (RB/RI/RA)
- Dogging Ticket (DG)
- Crane Operator (CB)
The position will be working approximately 30kms from Rockhampton and you will be required to get yourself to and from work.
You will also be required to provide your own basic PPE including above ankle steel cap boots, 100% cotton trousers and long sleeved hi vis taped shirt and hard hat. Job specific PPE will then be provided.
If you are successful in your application you will be required to complete a medical prior to start including drug and alcohol screening. As well as ongoing random drug and alcohol screening on site throughout the project.
