DTS is a leading Queensland Surveying consultancy specialising in land development and management. Our expertise encompasses Surveying, Drafting and Urban Planning. We provide all of the necessary services required to complete any development project.

Operating since 1968, DTS enjoys excellent working relationships with many major land development companies, construction companies, local authorities and government departments.

DTS is a fast growing company and is looking to fill a surveying role within the organisation. Our survey department is expanding, we are looking for a Surveyor with experience in detail surveys to join our highly experienced team.

About the role

Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated surveyor with experience in undertaking large and small-scale detail surveys, cadastral surveys, and residential development surveys including set out and as constructed surveys, civil construction set out and preferably you will have had exposure to:

  • Leica TS15 Total Stations;
  • Magnet Office CAD Software;
  • Leica GS15 GPS; and
  • Digital Levels.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant must:

  • Understand the importance working to a set scope of work;
  • Have experience with establishing horizontal and vertical survey control;
  • Be capable of locating all above ground features and identifying underground services;
  • Be able to undertake field observations that are suitable in producing accurate contours; and
  • Being capable of reducing field work and undertaking quality control checks of plans produced.

As a surveyor initially undertaking detail and level surveys you will be provided with training to enable you to expand your capabilities into different areas of surveying. You will undertake a broad range of activities covering all aspects of Surveying in Queensland, with the support and training to advance your career and move though the Surveyors Board of Queensland training frameworks. We will also provide you with a computer, equipment and vehicle.
