The Company
 
Our client a leading Global Company, requires a Senior Project Manager,
based in Brisbane, to manage projects for one of their major clients. Whilst there will be variety, each project will have some level of association with the rail industry due to their client’s core business. Accordingly, an individual with a level of understanding and experience in both the rail and property/construction industries will be beneficial.
 
About the Role
 
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Assist the client to set-up / implement new projects based on an identified need;
• Work with the client’s Real Estate team and nominated end user stakeholders to establish and define project requirements
• Undertake and drive project management tasks in line with the clients’ capital works project requirements;
• Management of scope changes;
• Procurement and engagement of key consultants required for the project delivery;
• Management and coordination of the project delivery program;
• Reporting of project status and attendance at client meetings;
• Supporting the Business Development Processes.

About You

• At least 5 years’ and preferably more than 6 years’ experience in a relevant role;
• Degree level qualification in Building, Architecture, Engineering, or Building Surveying;
• Achieved, or in the process of obtaining, industry recognised professional qualifications, such as RICS, COIB, AIPM, PMP or similar;
• Experience with MS Project;
• Possess strong commercial acumen;
• Be personable, diplomatic and a strong communicator;
• Operate well in a team environment as well as a high degree of autonomy;
• Be willing to travel;
• Previous experience in the construction/development industry
• Experience within the rail industry
