Brosna Construction Pty Ltd is a Civil concrete contractor based in Western Australia servicing Civil infrastructure, Commercial & industrial, Mining sectors.

We undertake formwork, steel fixing and concrete placement on a wide variety of construction projects and have built a solid reputation in the industry delivering quality services safely and on time.

Due to our continued growth, Brosna Construction is currently seeking applications from suitably experienced and enthusiastic Civil Estimators with a proven track record of preparing accurate and timely estimates and project tenders for metro and regional civil, bulk and detailed earthworks, commercial formwork and concrete, drainage and external works.

You’ll be joining a busy and productive team, working in collaboration with various onsite project management teams. The successful applicant will be expected to possess the following experience:

Key Criteria

• Setting up of the company estimating software
• Must have at least 5 years of preparing accurate and timely estimates and tenders across the Civil Construction and Bulk Earthworks market
• Self- motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
• Able to demonstrate a strong record of tender success and project completion
• Strong commercial acumen and advanced analytical capability
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple tenders
• Sourcing and negotiating additional quotes from subcontractors or suppliers
• High level of organisational and time management skills
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships by maintaining regular contact with Project Management teams and suppliers
• Thorough understanding and experience with estimating software systems
• Must be either an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position.
• Membership or ability to join in an approved professional body (eg. AIQS, RICS, CIOB)
• Checkable references
• A track record of (1) Accurate Estimation, and (2) projects won and (3) successfully delivered
• Related qualifications preferred (but not essential)
• Prior experience working for a construction contractor, substantially involved with Civil estimation from the tender and bid preparation through to project award life cycle
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritise workload and execute tasks within an agreed timeframe
• Ability to get up to speed very quickly

Duties:

• Evaluating bid specifications and review plans and drawings
• Build relationships with key vendors- subcontractors, suppliers and engineers
• Provide consultation on planning (schedules, labour etc)
• Participate in tender reviews with management
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
• Writing of monthly reports
