du Chateau Chun – leading building regulation and code consultants are in a growth phase of their business plan and is looking for an Assistant Access Consultant to join our established Melbourne office.
The Company
du Chateau Chun is an authentic firm of specialist building regulations and code advisors, delivering a comprehensive range of building code, compliance and design certification services complimented by specialist services in fire life safety, accessibility, DDA and essential safety measures to both the property development and building construction markets.
The Position
Access Consultants work with building designers, building surveyors and project managers to ensure developments are designed and constructed in accordance with the Disability (Access to Premises — Buildings) Standards 2010, Australian Standards related to safety and access, and the Disability Discrimination Act, considering the needs of all buildings users – particularly those with physical and sensory needs.
This position would suit a person with experience in the building surveying, access, or other related industries such as architecture and occupational therapy.
The Role
The role will be personalised to suit the successful candidate cognisant of qualifications and experience in other related industries, including:
- Accessibility consultancy on a range of projects
- Conduct design reviews throughout relevant phases of project documentation
- Assist with inspection of site and building works
- Assist with physical access audits on existing buildings
- Carry out Performance Assessment Reports
Remuneration
Remuneration will commensurate with the role, responsibility and industry standards and negotiable dependent upon experience and qualifications.
