About the role
Watpac has an opportunity for a Quality Manager to join the team on a permanent basis that will be responsible for developing, recommending and implementing a quality assurance programme to ensure statutory and contractual compliance with quality requirements across the NSW Construction division.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of Quality Assurance Standards ISO 9000
- Provide technical assistance to site-based Project Managers in implementing high levels of Quality & Environmental assurance including Monitoring, Inspection and Testing regimes on projects.
- Provide recommendations for management review toward QA/QC improvement.
- Coordinate the maintenance of company based information regarding acceptable Subcontractors/Suppliers, provide evaluations based on review of submitted documentation, or other approved criteria.
- Work closely with the company Maintenance Manager throughout the defects liability period.
About you
- AEO Accreditation would be highly regarded for this role
- Tertiary qualifications in a construction related subject and relevant experience within Quality, Safety and Environmental Management.
- Be conversant with the provisions of the Quality and Environmental International Standards.
- Trained in the establishment, implementation and audit of Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus
