Our client has a current requirement to engage a Senior Project Manager to drive the oversight, reporting & custodianship of the managing contractor throughout the delivery phase of this arts project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively act as the principal's authorised representative driving their renewal program.
- Work closely with the department to answer RFI's around the program's delverables.
- Work closely with the Managing Contractor during the Delivery Phase to develop compliant construction requirements.
- Manage the consultants during the Delivery Phase & undertake reviews during development and finalisation of the Contractor’s detailed delivery.
- Ensure the clients satisfaction at agreed delivery stages.
- Implement risk management that effectively identifies project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Continue ongoing site investigations to make known the existing site conditions, engagement with service authorities to define their requirements and construction staging that minimises operational impacts.
- Ensure the Managing Contractor establishes and delivers construction activities that is effectively planned and communicated to site stakeholders.
Essential qualities & experience include:
- Tertiary Qualifications in engineering, building or planning and /or a land economics or commerce degree.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in commercial property construction or development, preferably from a hard dollar design and construction environment.
- Experience in a 2-stage Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach a bonus.
- Developed financial skills & extensive exposure to construction principles together with management and reporting capabilities.
- The ability to build relationships and manage numerous stakeholders who are both internal and external to this Government department.
