As a Crane Manager you will be in charge of the planning, organize, direct, manage, evaluate, and will be responsible for the operations of the northern region Crane Operations.
The position includes the identification of opportunities for new mobile crane projects.
Role Responsibility
- Direct the activities of staff in relation to operations including dispatching, routing, and tracking equipment.
- Direct the effectiveness the north region fleet
- Ongoing customer relationship management
- Plan, develop, and implement lifting health and safety, and security programs and activities.
- Develop and communicate lift studies where required
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff comply with administrative policies and procedures and safety
- Develop and implement profit improvement plans and change management plans
- Manage performance of north region personnel
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
- Remain current with latest lifting technology systems and procedures.
- Maintain open dialogue with other department managers to coordinate activities and improve performance and productivity.
- Ensure servicing levels of the northern fleet remains within company policy and manufacturers recommendations.
The Ideal Candidate
The regional Manager would require 10+ years. Heavy transport / heavy lifting experience.
Reading comprehension, time management, coordination, active listening, critical thinking, speaking, active learning. Computer literate, ERP system experience for fleet management. Social, care, team work, ambitious, good stress management.
Willing to travel and spent time away from office in remote locations
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team at Big Hill Cranes & Heavy Haulage.
We have a fleet of cranes, ranging from 14T Franna to 250T Liebherr all terrain crane, a fleet of Prime Movers and Trailers for general and Heavy Haulage. We carry out a variety of work from small pool installations to contract work on large construction sites throughout Victoria and beyond.
This position is based in Mildura, Victoria and will be full time after a probationary period of 3 months.
