HBI Australia is a progressive and professional insurance building company based in Northern NSW with offices in Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour. Due to the nature of our industry, one disaster or storm can dramatically increase our workload, resulting in additional resources being required immediately.

Due to our current volume of claims, we are seeking an experienced Assessor / Estimator / Supervisor to work across the Port Macquarie region. Role will be Coffs Harbour based, although travel to Port Macquarie two times weekly will be required.

Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following:

  • Estimating and supervising projects for our insurance partners and customers in the commercial and private sectors.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our customers, insurance partners and assessors and liaising with contractors and suppliers.
  • Organizing and supervising contractors to ensure smooth and efficient completion of jobs on time and on budget.
  • Ensuring contractors consistently complete a high level of workmanship.
  • Completing quality control audits on all completed projects.
  • Compiling and writing building inspection reports.
  • Estimating, ordering and organizing delivery of materials.
  • Maintaining OH&S procedures on work sites.
  • Ensuring a visual record of jobs is maintained throughout the progression of each job.
  • Be proficient with the with the use of various web-based insurance platforms, Microsoft office and Outlook 365.

  • Confident IT proficiency required
  • Strong work ethic
