We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Modernisation Business working in our Melbourne office. As a member of the leadership team, this is a significant opportunity to contribute to the future success of our business. We need a strong and engaging leader, capable of driving change and developing a proactive and customer focused installation team.

You will ensure that your team is motivated and engaged, with a focus on delivering customer solutions and also strong discipline with regards to process and reporting, along with positive interactions with internal stakeholders such as the Sales team and Head Office. Furthermore you will assisting the Installation Manager in regular forecasting and reporting requirements, in addition to regular interactions with key stakeholders - both internal and external.

You will lead your team with a particular focus on driving profitable outcomes via operational efficiencies, risk mitigation and ensuring your team is engaged and motivated to perform. Your capacity to build strong levels of engagement with customers and lead your team to deliver successful project outcomes in tight deadlines and restricted working environments will determine your success in the role. This is a critical position during a time of strong business growth and a desire for KONE to enhance its position in the market.

What will you be doing?

• Drive productivity gains, profitable outcomes and ensure quality outcomes in both project delivery and business performance
• Make Installation capacity planning and completion forecasts; regular reporting requirements; responsible for efficiency measurement & reporting
• Communicate proactively resource needs to senior management
• Evaluate the results of Installation activities, identify recurring problems and prepare recommendations. Drive changes that need to be made to processes, procedures, systems, or products
• Lead, engage and mentor a highly professional team - both white collar and blue collar workforce
• Analyse actual performance to plan, recommend and implement corrective actions
• Drive key projects aimed at continuous improvement
• Responsibility for managing sub-contractor relationships

Are you the one?

• Relevant business line management experience gained in a similar role within a relevant industry, ideally with exposure to project management.
• Previous experience managing a P&L with a track record driving operational efficiencies
• Strong leader of people - with a passion for mentoring and driving performance
• Customer centric focus - with a passion for developing customer focused solutions
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on results delivery
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and project management skills
• Experienced at managing financial considerations and risk - cost control, forecasting, reporting to the business, managing fixed controls
• Labour and resource planning
• Strong communicator - Very good customer/ stakeholder engagement skills
• Resilient and persevering personality
