• FIFO/DIDO arrangement; 3:1 weeks roster; site uplift

With 800MW of renewable projects currently under construction, we are seeking a strong Quantity Surveyor with a background working on large construction / engineering projects to join us in the delivery of the 100MWac Haughton Solar Farm, Townsville

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will apply your strong cost background including preparation of forecasts and managing budgets to assess construction progress and assist with productivity reports.

DUTIES

• Cost forecasting and management of project budgets.
• Reporting - financial and construction.
• Contract Administration.
• Estimation for contract change management.
• Preparation of Progress Claims.
• Measuring on site progress.
• Ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with the RCR Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures at all times’ must be listed as a Primary Objective on all PDs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law or similar.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in construction.
• Strong cost background including preparation of forecasts and managing budgets.
• High level understanding of progress payment valuation and issue.
• A basic understanding of legal principles and the application of those principles to construction.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy construction environment.
• Strong teamwork ethic and ability to work with other departments to obtain accurate and up to date cost information.
• Ability to plan work and meet tight deadlines.
