Your new company
My client is a well-established, Tier 3 Builder based in the Western suburbs with over 20 years of success in constructing high-end Apartments, Residential and Commercial projects valued up to $25M. The Commercial space they operate in is Educational, Retail and Industrial. With a number of high profile tenders secured within all 3 facets of their business, they are looking for a Site Manager to join their expanding team to work on exciting up and coming projects scattered throughout Melbourne’s west.
Your new role
- Work on a Commercial Residential project delivering a mixture of Townhouses and an Apartment project with a total value of $20M.
- Working alongside the Project Manager to ensure the efficient management of day to day operations.
- You will be responsible for conducting toolbox meetings, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring OH&S and quality standards are met.
- Procure building materials, plant and equipment hire and effectively manage site resources.
- Plan future works, endeavour to foresee potential problems and propose alternative solutions
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record in delivering either Commercial or high-end Apartment projects within Australia in a Site Management role.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to Construction or carpentry trade qualification.
- Multilevel, Basement and D&C experience is preferable.
- Experience in both Townhouses and Apartments is essential.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a firm understanding of OH&S and lead projects by example.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to Construction.
- Outstanding presentation, leadership and communication skills.
