Our Opportunity
Reporting to the Business Line Manager, this pivotal technical expert position is responsible for providing innovative 3D Laser Scanning in both terrestrial and mobile mapping, as well as dimensional control solutions that maximise client value.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Laser scanning using various equipment from Leica, Faro, Riegl, Surphaser
- Registration using Cyclone, Scene, Terrasolid
- Dimensional Control using Leica and Trimble Total Stations, Arms and Trackers
- Modelling in AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Microstation of structural, mechanical and piping elements from point cloud data
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and industry standards
- Seek innovative ways to increase our scanning and dimensional control service offering
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Our Requirements
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in Laser Scanning
- 3+ years’ in Dimensional Control
- 3+ years' experience in 2D and 3D modelling
- Experience in modelling from point cloud data
- Software experience: AutoCAD, Microstation, Autodesk Inventor
- Relevant industry experience in mechanical, structural and pipework
- An excellent eye for detail and attention to accuracy
- Experience with Cyclone and Scene registration software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
