To continue to build on this success, MJH Group are seeking to employ a motivated and driven Handover Supervisor to work within our Service and Warranty team in the South Coast.

 

As the Handover Supervisor you will report directly to the Hunter Service and Warranty Manager. You will need to understand the relative building regulations and have the ability to communicate both positive and negative information to achieve the outcome desired in line with the company’s standards,

 

The Role

As the Hand Over Supervisor you  will be responsible for:

 

  • Inspecting buildings against the relevant Building Act, Codes and associated Regulations
  • Preparing inspection reports and associated documentation in accordance with company policy
  • Turning inspection reports into "ready for work" jobs as quickly and cost effectively as possible
  • Providing building advice and guidance during inspections
  • Arranging for the supply of goods and services where necessary, covering the defect liability period items and warranty requests
  • Managing complaints and ensuring building compliance is achieved
  • Continually improving company processes and liaising with the Service & Warranty Manager to minimise building practices that produce after sales maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with WH&S policies and processes
  • Tactfully and courteously dealing with customers, suppliers and tradesman on after sales service issues
  • Assisting the Service & Warranty Manager with any special projects that need attention.

 

To be successful in the position you need to possess:

  • A trade background, Certificate IV in Building Management or similar experience
  •  Sound knowledge of Construction and the building process within the Residential Housing Industry
  • An understanding of WH&S regulations
  • Extensive computer and report writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding, organisational and planning abilities with the ability to work under pressure
  • A flexible approach and attitude towards your work.
