Project Director- Sydney - Market Leader

HRS is partnering with their client to secure a highly experienced Project Director to join the team in the Sydney office. This client a diverse consulting and project delivery business who provide commercial advisory, project management, cost management and construction services for public and private sector clients.  
They work closely with their clients to develop professional long-term relationships.

About the Opportunity

As a Project Director, you will lead and oversee the management of projects and be accountable for building long standing relationships with a varied range of stakeholders and clients, through ensuring successful delivery of projects ranging from $1m to greater than $100m, all with a focus on complexity and operational sensitivity.

Whilst leading and overseeing multiple projects you will be responsible for all facets of your projects, including:

• Project Management;
• Proposal Writing and Management;
• Development of Business Case and Feasibility Studies;
• Development of Governance Plans;
• Cost Management;
• Design Management (including Value Management Reviews);
• Facilitating Risk Management Workshops;
• Commercial and Contract Terms;
• Programming, including Construction Programming;
• Procurement of Contractors and Consultants;
• Construction Delivery;
• Contracts Administration and Superintendence; and
• Commissioning and Practical Completion.

In order to be considered for this Project Director role your application must demonstrate the following criteria:

• The ability to lead and oversee project teams;
• Experience in front end design / planning management and construction phase services, including contract administration and contract superintendence;
• Degree qualified or minimum of 10 years industry experience;
• Experience in the management of institutional type projects such as health, aged care, education and/or research highly regarded;
• Excellent communication skills; and
• Client focused.
