A Registered Building surveyor job in Council paying up to $140/hr + super for an immediate start

Your new company
A Local Council is seeking a Registered, Building Surveyor to issue permits, carry out inspections and report and consent applications to residential and commercial buildings within the municipality, for an initial 3 month tenure. This position is highly likely to extend, has an immediate start and is paying up to $140/hr + super.

Your new role
You will be required to:

• Assess building applications
• Prepare and issue notices, permits and orders
• Prepare Report and Consent applications
• Oversee ESM inspections
• Oversee pool barrier inspections
• Engage with the community and provide recommendations for non-compliant structures

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must:

• Be a Registered Building Surveyor
• Have demonstrated experience enforcing the Building Codes of Australia and relevant building legislation
• Have strong communication skills and an ability to guide community members
• Have problem solving skills
• Experience in the Public Sector is highly desirable
