This builder is one of Melbourne’s most prestigious and successful, developing and building a range of commercial, residential and mixed use developments for themselves, as well as a select range of clients. With an additional project underway, an apartment development, they are seeking a Leading Hand/Foremen who can work in both a supervisory and hands on role as required.

Reporting to the Site Manager your key roles and responsibilities will include:

• Ensure daily and weekly program tasks are executed as per programme
• Hands on trade activity as required
• Have a clear understanding of project requirements to communicate to all trades before commencement of works
• Supervise in house trade and labour personnel as well as subcontractors to ensure compliance to plan and specifications
• Great communication skills
• Ensure site adminstration and trade quality checks are undertaken regularly
• Escalate personnel and/or grade issues to SM and/or PM
• Undertake daily site safety checks and escaleate any non compliance issues to the SM

To be considered for this role it is essential you are a trade qualified Carpenter and have 1-3 years Leading Hand/Foreman experience of site staff, trades and subcontractors and have exemplary standards relating to OHS. Experience across the whole project life cycle of multistorey apartment projects is required.
