The largest and most successful Victorian civil contractor has secured large packages of work on a major road construction project in the Melbourne area.
About the Company
This well-known civil contractor is developing into one of the major players in the state. With a business model that encompasses multiple construction services divisions, keeping multiple functions in-house they are able to deliver projects efficiently and on-time.
The client is working hard to create and maintain a positive working culture, where safety and quality are at the forefront of project delivery and employee engagement.
The requirements:
We are currently searching for candidates displaying a history of Civil Supervisor experience with an established tier one or two contractor, ideally working on major ($50m+) main roads construction projects in Australia.
Experience working in live traffic situations is essential, with expertise in road construction civil works (bridges/ structures as well would be good to have) also a key skill requirement.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversight of compliance to standards
- Ensure crew are adhering to OH&S procedures
- Managing site operations on a daily basis
- Ensure the works are carried out according to schedule
You must display:
- Ability to manage the sub-contractors and own staff
- Strong knowledge of plant capability, usage and management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Excellence in communication and professionalism
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
