Devcert is a progressive and professional building certification and development consultancy operating throughout Queensland. Our services include private certification, building code consultancy, disability access and energy efficiency consultancy. We are currently experiencing an increased demand for services in New South Wales and expect to be very busy in 2018-2019 and are seeking an appropriately qualified building certifier in Sydney.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to start with an innovative organisation and be part of its growth in a new state from the ground up. The successful candidate will be ambitious and highly motivated and help grow the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessments, approval and finalisation of residential and commercial applications
• Inspections of residential and commercial projects.
•  Pro-active and regular liaison with a growing portfolio of clients
• Successfully negotiation and resolution of conflict when required

Requirements

• Must be currently accredited at A3 or higher
• Have sound knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation and building codes, planning and environmental legislation together with a detailed knowledge of local government processes
• Hold a current NSW registration
• Be able to travel to different parts of NSW when required
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration

Devcert offers an attractive remuneration package that will be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position also comes with a fully maintained company vehicle and mobile phone.
