An opportunity has been created for a Construction Manager to join the Urban Development Team across a range of projects between the Gold Coast and the greater Brisbane/ Ipswich area. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills that can bring a high level of project management experience and construction expertise to the team and achieve high productivity and project morale. 
 
This is a full-time role reporting to the Operations Manager, where you will be responsible for the performance and management off all projects that you are assigned and are accountable to ensure project delivery meets both the company’s and client’s expectations. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing the financial performance of the project in line with financial procedures
  • Ensuring contractual and project requirements are being satisfied
  • Ensuring projects are adequately resourced in terms of people, plant and equipment
  • Continuous review of operations to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Assist with the coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff

 
The position is best suited to someone with the following skills and attributes:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in successfully delivering Urban Development Projects
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
  • A commitment to developing and maintaining a culture of safety and health above all else
