Position available for Cadet Estimator required for immediate start in a full time role located in our Brisbane Eagle Farm office.

Stone Developments are an upcoming company with over 15+ years experience in the Stonemason & Tiling industry working on commercial & residential projects located within the Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast regions.
Specialising in stone cladding & tiling projects ranging from high end boutique CBD works to large scale landscaping works, Stone Developments are now experiencing a large growth and have secured multiple projects with a need to recruit further roles to continue this growth.
Your new role
Working as a Cadet Estimator, you will be working alongside our Project Team & Senior Estimator to help deliver various commercial or residential projects on time & within budget. You will have your own transport and either be in your final year or have recently completed a relevant tertiary degree or similar or have sound knowledge of the construction industry.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Tasks & duties may include but not limited to the following,
- Assist with project take-offs & identifying of all required scope and key aspects of the project
- Issue request for quotes for labour & materials & compile cost analysis for best price
- Assist in preparation of all tenders & quotations for submission
- Prepare Scope of Works documents
- Issuing of preliminary WHSE plans & Safe work method statements
- Minor project & contracts co-ordination
- Following up with quotations
- Sending expression of interests to potential clients
What you'll need to succeed
- Recently completed or currently in 2-3rd year of construction tertiary degree (or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret Construction drawings & Architectural plans
- Construction site experience (favourable)
- Must be flexible with work location and hours
- Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities
- Effective Time management, organisational & problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment, and develop strong and effective relationships
- Show initiative & demonstrate a commitment to service and continuous improvement
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (in particular Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Current drivers licence with own transport
- Valid construction white card
