The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding Brisbane team. Working along side the Tendering team, the primary objective of this role is to produce accurate measurement and pricing of tender bids.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager key responsibilities will include:
- Accurate measurement of BoQs and detailed pricing
- Preparation of tender bids up to $40m
- Preparation of budgets and cost estimates
- Cost saving and risk analysis
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
The Person
A positive attitude along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail will ensure you succeed in this role. You will enjoy the challenge of managing competing demands and will have the ability to multi-task and prioritise your work to ensure deadlines are met.
The successful applicant will have:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Australian Construction market
- Experience in the commercial market
- Experience with Cubit or CostX software
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
