The Company
A Tier two developer builder who specialise over both the residential and commercial sector have an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to join their team. The Sydney based company have regularly worked on projects in excess of $100 million. They pre-dominantly focus within the residential industry building multi storey, multi-unit residential apartments. They will also consider an ambitious and experienced Site Engineer who is looking to take their career to the next step.
The Project
556 Apartments over 3 residential and mixed house tower. The role will encompass all facets of the build, such as structure, façade, and the services.
The Person
As a Project Engineer you will have already worked for a large scale builder on large scale residential projects. You will have a completed degree and hold at between 5+ years’ experience.
Our client is not looking for an individual to work excessive hours but would rather the successful candidate be someone who is focused and productive during the standard office hours with a time-efficient approach.
The person needs to be approachable, able to pick up a phone and discuss and resolve disputes as opposed to relying on e-mails. Nothing quite matches a face to face meeting and building relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
Required Skills and Experience
- A completed Construction Management degree
- A strong Commercial/residential background
- Experience on projects of $50M plus
- Able to deal with design issues
- Long term ambitions to grow career with the company
