About Us

Prime Build is a Tier 3 construction company specialising in retail fit out & refurbishment. Established in 2008 in Sydney, we have since opened additional offices in Melbourne & Brisbane & have completed projects across Australia after building ongoing relationships with industry-leading clients (75% of our business is repeat). While ~70% of our projects remain fit out & refurb, we are also expanding into new build and diversifying our client base.

This role will see you leading and managing a team of tradesmen and subcontractors to oversee all construction activities and contracts on site with an uncompromising focus on quality and safety. Typical duties include site establishment, ensuring compliance, contributing to continual improvement by identifying cost-saving measures and working with Project Managers to undertake project planning, programming and scheduling.

This position will suit someone who enjoys regularly interacting with clients and wider stakeholders, representing the company in a professional and proactive manner and collaborating to preempt and resolve problems. This role provides you with the opportunity to be a key player in helping Prime Build to produce high quality buildings and products which exceed the expectations of our clients.

The majority of our works involve retail fit out and refurbishment valued between $300K - $3MIL. Due to the nature of our work, your availability to undertaken night work and travel to regional areas is a must.

You'll fit right in if you...

• Are Carpentry trade qualified, with five or more years’ experience in the construction industry essential (experience in refurbishment/fit out highly desirable)
• Have great communication skills and a no hassles, can do attitude
• Are comfortable interacting with clients and professionally representing the business
• Are able to motivate and lead a team to get the job done on time with no defects
• Are resilient and adapts quickly to solve problems
• Have good attention to detail and accuracy - takes pride in, and ownership of, work
• Have an unwavering focus on safety and compliance to ensure the well-being of all staff on site
• Are an Australian resident or have full working rights in Australia with recent local experience
