Senior Project Manager
Design and Construction of Commercial and Dental and Health Fit Outs
Full Time Perm role
The Senior Project Manager position will be reporting directly to the General Manager, working hand in hand with her and the other members of the Design and Construction consultancy. The consultancy specialises in design and fit outs of commercial, Retail and Health Fit Outs around NSW and Australia.
Responsibilities and Background Overview:
- Managing multiple projects from initial brief through to handover
- Managing Site Managers and ensuring quality of build on each and every project
- at least 5 years construction experience in commercial or medical or high end retail.
- the ability to conduct himself in front of corporate clients and support Managing Director in meetings where a construction interface is required.
- Someone prepared to do the work and may be required to manage a team.
- Must be able to construct with subcontractors/tradies and be able to run a Head Contractors.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Projects and excel.
- Must have basic skills in CAD for interpretation.
- Clear understanding of Design and Construct Fit out projects
- must have 5 years plus construction project management experience in Commercial / Retail / Healthcare
- Architectural and Engineering background
- Very good presentation skills both practical and Verbally
- Customer facing skills as you will be required to present to clients
- Inputting and updating cost control systems, budgets, forecast costs etc.
- Developing, maintaining and evaluating project programmes
- Assisting Estimators and participating in tender submissions
- Evaluating and implementing processes, margin and quality improvements wherever possible
- Negotiating with Trades and delivering project profitability
- Developing and nurturing strong positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
