The MJH Multi team have the aptitude to accomplish challenging construction work with outstanding outcomes.  Already established in Sydney and Queensland, we are now looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to be responsible for overseeing current long term projects.

Our multi residential repertoire spans residential estate construction, investor housing, town homes, defence housing, retirement village independent living units and community housing delivered throughout regional and metropolitan NSW, QLD and ACT.

 

Due to increased sales and rapid deadlines, MJH Multi are seeking to employ an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Baulkham Hills.

 

The Role

As the Contracts Administrator you're responsible for overseeing and managing a number of projects consisting of a variety of single story homes, duplexes and two story dwellings in accordance with plans and specifications, on time, to budget and ensuring a high quality finish.  Projects range in value from $1.5m to $12m working with a range of blue chip companies, you will be required to build positive relationships, ensuring that you are representing the MJH Group in a positive light.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedule & purchase orders,
  • Review tenders received for conformity to contract requirements, negotiate terms with subcontractors, ascertain financial stability of subcontractors, and make procurement recommendations to  the Project Team and Management,
  • Progress claim assistance and external variations,
  • Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts,
  • Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims and margin reporting,
  • Administration of RFI's, EOT's etc. to clients, architects and consultants, and
  • Administration of the project HSE system.

 

The Person

The successful applicant will:

  • Display an excellent work ethic
  • Thrive in high pressure situations
  • Have a minimum of three years' experience as a Contracts Administrator
  • Hold a current Drivers Licence and White Card
  • Demonstrated previous exposure to aged are and residential construction projects
  • Have relevant engineering or construction related tertiary qualification
  • Be extremely well organised and good time management skills
  • Display excellent communication skills
  • Have very high attention to detail
  • Have strong negotiation skills
