About the role:

Based in Brendale, a challenging opportunity has opened for an experienced Estimating professional with demonstrated experience in liaising with Project Managers and external contractors to accurately compile quotes to meet required budgets within a fast paced environment.

Whilst your experience in end to end estimating processes (reading & interpreting plans & drawings, maintaining pricing records, calculating labour times, utilising estimating software, creating formal quotes in Word, liaising with & providing relevant details to Contractors, Purchasing Officer & Factory Foreman) is critical, it is your ability to be proactive and efficient in order to meet short lead time deadlines that will ensure your success.

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to become a hands-on integral member of the team.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in an estimating role (Shopfitting, Cabinet making industry experience will be HIGHLY REGARDED).
• Solid understanding of joinery construction is essential.
• Ability to read & interpreting plans & drawings.
• Demonstrated understanding of pricing, labour times and budget requirements.
• Strong computer literacy skills (Estimating Software, Microsoft Office).
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders including Project Managers, Purchasing Officer Factory Foreman and Accounts staff.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and contractors to gain positive outcomes around pricing and delivery timeframes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, methodical approach and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work autonomously.
• Highly self-motivated, committed, team focused and reliable.
