Due to our continuous growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a Junior Production Estimator to join our friendly team.

Based in our State of the Art Head Office in Gregory Hills, this is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored by the best in the business.  You are considered a key member to the success of our business where your attention to detail, accuracy, collaborative approach, innovative mindset and team focus will help us strive to be that point of difference that sets us apart to deliver exceptional customer experience.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Complete production estimating from tender documents and variations
• Prepare inventory items and assemblies in estimating package for common items
• Ensure correct quantities are in BOQ's and complete on-site measures and take offs when required
• Liaising with staff, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a cohesive approach to the construction process
• Checking contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
• Liaising with Construction Supervisors and Managers
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders
• Prepare inventory items and assemblies in estimating package for common items
• Maintaining all queries with estimated jobs and amending orders where required.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Residential construction experience or have worked in a similar role
• Understanding of the workflow process
• A trade background in carpentry or onsite construction experience
• Good communication and presentation 
• Have excellent IT computer literacy and communication skills
• Completed or undertaking a Diploma in Building and Construction and have a trade background in carpentry and joinery would be an advantage
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Have a thirst to learn
• Be flexible and progressive in your thinking
• Have a sense of humour
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Provide excellent customer service and commitment.
