Monadelphous' Maintenance and Industrial Services division specialises in the planning, management and execution of mechanical and electrical maintenance services, shutdowns, fixed plant maintenance services, access solutions, dewatering services, specialist coatings, and sustaining capital works.

Opportunities exist for Project Engineers to join our industry leading Mining, Minerals, West division. Working in a challenging, fun & fast-paced environment, you will be involved in the full life cycle of a project; with exposure from the estimation phase, right through to site execution, contract management and handover. You will work closely with Supervision and be the main point of contact with the Client, as such, this role will suit energetic and organised individuals who have strong communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

The successful person will be a passionate problem solver who wants to work with the best. Our project team needs enthusiastic, results focused and confident team members who enjoy the dynamics of ruining their own challenging projects and enjoy working in a strong and tight knit team environment.

The responsibilities of the position include:

• Supporting, leading and coordinating the project team on-site
• Project pre-planning including organising Plant & Equipment and labour
• Oversee subcontracts in alignment with Agreements / Contracts including fabrication (off-site)
• Planning & Scheduling, Cost Control, Quality Control
• Contract Management - Including identify variations to the scope, developing variation and delay claims and leading negotiations
• Client interface - Being the primary point of contact for the client, provide daily and weekly progress reports
• Ensure all Safety standards are implemented, understood and complied with and that the Monadelphous "the safe way is the only way" is driven throughout the team

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working in brownfield SMP Projects, ideally in the mining industry
• Value their team and have a strong focus on safety
• Have well developed communication skills & the ability to lead and coordinate a team as well as develop & maintain effective relationships with the client
• Be flexible and adaptable with work hours/rosters
• Be enthusiastic and thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment
