This large home builder has been established in NSW for more than 30 years, frequently winning HIA awards for their practical and well appointed homes. This company is very busy and in keeping up with such a huge market demand, have a position open for a carpenter to learn and be a part of the company foundation! If you have previous experience in estimating, or have completed a carpentry apprenticeship and/or Cert IV in construction (favoured, not essential), please apply today.
The Role
Reporting to the estimating manager, he is highly involved with all of his team, assisting you whenever you may need it
The new role will involve:
- Completing all building estimating requirements
- Producing accurate documentation within budgeted timelines
- creating BOQ's
- Resolving ordering oversights and making amendments as required
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of company products and services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to liaise with supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors
Requirements
- Experience working within residential construction
- Excellent communication skills
- Evidence of proactive qualities and ability to work autonomously
- Some experience in estimating
- Carpentry trade, if you have completed or want to complete your Certificate IV in Building and Construction
