BYCA are currently looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Manager for one of our current mega project in Melbourne.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a strong Mechanical and Electrical manager with a focus in the design management, with experience coordinating major packages in architecture, and services across a particular station.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of the project scope and technical requirements, design concepts and detailed design, as well engaging our cost planners and construction teams to ensure the finished outcome is buildable, and in line with financial constraints, enabling you to deliver a product that exceeds your client’s expectations.

This role requires a commercially astute individual with design and project management experience  through the conversion , design development and  construction phases of a key element of the project. Your experience to date will derive from either a main contractor, lead design consultant, project management group or directly within a client environment and most likely have completed a relevant degree. 

This is a public infrastructure project with a strong in house technical team in place  and your background may be from other relevant but not identical building market sectors;

A proactive attitude and positive work ethic coupled with strong commercial acumen is essential; aligning with a strong focus on delivery, strong communication skills and a collaborative nature.
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
• Extensive experience on multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
• Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access and email.
