About the client:
Programmed Skilled Workforce are seeking reliable and motivated employees for a permanent role on behalf of a valued national client. Based in Brisbane, with operations all over Australia, our client specializes in the manufacturing and supply of explosives to mining, quarrying and civil construction industries.
About the role:
This casual role, based around Avenel, offers full-time hours and training opportunities for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and blasting explosives for external clients as well as carrying out operations of MSU’s while complying with u-safe guidelines and procedures.
It is essential for all applicants to have an open manual Driver’s license and a Heavy Rigid license is preferred. Previous mining, quarrying or blast design experience is also highly anticipated.
A successful applicant must possess the following skills and attributes:
- Ability to work well in a group environment
- Punctual and communicative
- Self-driven and capable of learning new skills
- Ability to closely follow health and safety procedures
- An adequate level of physically fitness
- Ability to work unsupervised at times
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and a criminal history check.
